In the past few decades people have tried literally anything to achieve their goal. Weight Watchers, drugs, smoking, anorexia or bulimia, and even tapeworm pills (yeah, that’s as disgusting as it sounds).

It is most commonly known as fermentation -- which is what gives it such a sour taste and a strong smell. The cloud of yeast and bacteria in the bottle are probiotics, which make it so healthy.

What About Weight Loss?
Multiple studies and research experiments have shown multiple different reasons as to why. For one, apple cider vinegar lowers a person's blood sugar level. In a study conducted on rats, apple cider vinegar improved the liver and the muscles ability to take up sugar from the blood.

Apple cider vinegar also decreases insulin levels. In that same rat study, it showed that apple cider
It also improves one’s metabolism. A different study showed an increase in the enzyme AMPK. What does that mean exactly? Basically that enzyme boost fat burning and decreases sugar production in the liver.

When conducting a study on obese and diabetic rats, apple cider vinegar protected them from weight gain. Not only that, it increased the expressions of genes that reduced belly fat storage and liver fat!

Now here are the next two big ones! Apple cider vinegar has proven to burn fat and suppress one’s appetite! There was a 12-week study that was conducted with 144 obese adults. They split up into groups, and one of the groups were to ingest 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar diluted in a 17-ounce drink daily. Those that did experienced the most weight loss and a 0.9% reduction in body fat! (This was compared with two control groups).

Apple cider vinegar was also shown that how it suppresses one’s appetite is that it responds to certain parts of the brain that control appetite;
obviously resulting in reduced food intake. It also slows down how quickly nutrients from foods are absorbed into your bloodstream; which is an effect that may aid further for weight loss!
